Handing over of SABS-mark permit for Neat's Bushmans factory, by the Director, Civil Engineering Division of the SA Bureau of Standards, in 1990.
The firm also manufactures a number of products exclusively under license to
Concor Technicrete (Pty) Ltd, including a unique erosion control system
(Armorflex), a retaining wall block system ( Enviro-wall), and an aesthetic
cobble paving system (Concobble). It introduced a precast staircase system
(Winstep) and a sundeck system (Duradek) in 1996 and 2001 respectively,
manufactured under license to Wintec (Pty) Ltd.
Confirming its leadership role in advancing concrete technology, Neat Contech
was the first to introduce a commercial precast prestressed plank-and-block
suspended flooring/roofing system (Econodek 600) in the Eastern and Southern
Cape, early in 1993.

Handing over of SABS-mark permit for Neat's Humansdorp factory, by the Regional Director East Cape, SA Bureau of Standards, in 2003.
The flooring/roofing system has gained acceptance to the
point that the existing plant has had to be expanded to the extent that the
firm is now capable of producing 4400m2 of flooring and roofing per
month.
Neat also pioneered the use of mechanical off-loading methods from transport
trucks, in the Eastern Cape. In March 1986 the first load of pallets containing
pavers were mechanically off-loaded for a building project in Bushmans River
Mouth, employing a hydraulic truck crane. The following year, the first
hydraulic brick grab was also introduced to the Eastern Cape, allowing bundles
of product to be off-loaded from trucks without the use of timber pallets.
The firm's growth has allowed it to extend its manufacturing operations to
Jeffrey's Bay and surrounding areas. A second precast concrete factory was
established in Humansdorp in 1995, financed through the Industrial Development
Corporation. Today, the Southern Cape is served mainly by this factory.
